The Bella Vista Hotel is quite ideally situated in a cosy corner of Qawra where there is not too much going on but at the same time, it’s a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of neighbouring Bugibba. It’s a three star hotel that has quite a welcoming entrance and its bar is always well stocked with a selection of drinks that goes down well with the mostly English guests at the premises.

The catering selection at the Bella Vista Hotel is as much as to be expected from a three star hotel. The breakfast is pretty up to scratch with scrambled eggs and bacon a staple part of the offering. Packed lunches for the discerning tourist can also be provided and the dinner options include a buffet that is of excellent quality. Several positive comments have emanated from those who have stayed at the hotel and this also includes those who have organised staff parties there. The coffee is also quite good – a regular cappuccino is also distinctly cheap. The lunch option also includes a full blown Mediterranean style buffet that should go down a treat with those who like to sample this kind of cuisine.

The accommodation at the Bella Vista Hotel is also quite good. The rooms are airy and bright apart from being extremely clean. Some rooms also offer country views and distant sea views. What struck me most is the quality of the linen as well as the bathrooms which are all very clean and with the latest facilities. Ok, its not luxury personified, but the rooms are definitely extremely comfortable and a joy to stay in. There’s a good WiFi system that works well in almost all rooms and common areas also provide top notch internet access. The rooms are fully air-conditioned and are also well stocked with a minibar that provides a wide selection of drinks and snacks.

The Bella Vista also has two large indoor and outdoor swimming pools that come with the latest facilities. There are also spa treatments and massages offered at very reasonable prices so the hotel really has all going for it at the price. There’s also live music and a selection of lounge bars that can help you while the night away if you’re in the right company. A free shuttle bus service to Bugibba centre is also included so if you don’t feel like walking, that could also be an option.

Summing it up, the Bella Vista Hotel is a no nonsense, all frills budget three star hotel at a knockdown price. You really can’t go wrong with this hotel in the heart of Qawra.
